Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic Massage combines both Swedish relaxation and therapeutic techniques to improve circulation, decrease muscular tension and increase relaxation. This type of treatment uses repetitive and rhythmic glides to bring the body into deeper relaxation. Deeper techniques are used to break down scar tissue, knots/trigger points, and relieve tight muscles for patients suffering from chronic pain, restricted movements, or overuse injuries. Perinatal Massage
Perinatal Massage uses the same pressure and techniques as a Swedish massage in the context of being pre/post partum. Patients in their first trimester may lie on their stomach if comfortable. Patients who are pregnant in their second and third trimester can expect to receive the treatment lying on their sides with lots of pillows tucked in for support. Massage can help support the well-being of both mama and baby as it can help a busy mama relax, ease pregnancy symptoms, and reduce swelling in the extremities.

Therapeutic Massage with Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine that dates back to ancient China.
With cupping therapy, silicone cups are used to create a negative pressure that picks up and pulls on soft tissues to target the deeper layers. You may feel a gentle pulling sensation of the fascia layer as the cups glide smoothly along your skin. TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Massage a.k.a the Jaw
Many people don’t know that Massage Therapists can massage your jaw, and I mean inside your jaw! Tightness in the jaw can lead to headaches and difficulty chewing. This treatment can feel intense as we work into the deeper jaw muscles. To effectively target the tight muscles around the jaw, it is best to perform an intraoral treatment as well as an extraoral massage. You may feel slight discomfort during the treatment and some soreness the next day (similar to a Deep Tissue treatment) but your jaw will feel looser once the soreness subsides. This treatment is perfect for patients who are stressed leading to teeth grinding at night (bruxism); before going to the dentist; or experience regular tension headaches.
